About this work

A large-scale mosaic installation transforming an interior architectural space into an immersive desert landscape. The composition brings together towering cacti, desert flora, mountains, flowing water, clouds, and a radiant sun, with a vivid hummingbird incorporated into the recessed niche. A large pink-toned animal figure becomes a focal point within the surrounding landscape. Hand-cut ceramic, stone, glass, and reflective pieces create shifts in texture, color, and light throughout the installation, allowing the imagery to continue across architectural surfaces rather than remaining confined to a flat wall. The project combines functional space with handcrafted artwork, drawing inspiration from the landscape, wildlife, and plant life of the Southwest.
