About this work

Greener on the Other Side is a double-exposure self-portrait that merges the human figure with surrounding vegetation, creating a visual overlap between body and landscape. The layered exposures allow organic textures, light, and greenery to move across and through the figure, softening the boundary between the self and the natural environment.

Through warm tones and dreamlike layering, the work explores themes of growth, transformation, and connection to nature. The title plays on the familiar phrase “the grass is greener on the other side,” inviting reflection on longing, perspective, and the tendency to search elsewhere for what may already surround us.
